A loud explosion occurred in Moscow on the night of December 24, and fragments are visible in the vicinity. This is reported by Izvestia.

"A loud bang thundered today at half past one in the morning on Yeletskaya Street. It is not yet known what exactly happened, but fragments are visible on the road," correspondent Yevgeny Naprienko reported.

It is noted that ambulances and police arrived at the scene. There is no information about casualties or damage in the explosion chord.

"I went home, sat down at the table, and there was an explosion. It was like a bomb had exploded. Strong. I saw the flashing lights and went outside," said Victor, a local resident.

Other eyewitnesses said that the sound of the explosion could be heard even through working headphones.

On the morning of December 22, eyewitnesses told Izvestia that a pop occurred in the courtyard of an apartment building in the Zyablikovo district of Moscow, after which one car caught fire.

Later it became known that Lieutenant General Sarvarov was killed due to the explosion. A criminal case was opened on this fact on the grounds of crimes provided for in paragraph "e" of Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code, Article 222.1 of the Criminal Code ("Murder committed in a generally dangerous manner; illegal trafficking in explosives"). It was clarified that the main version of the general's murder is connected with the Ukrainian special services.
