The court in Moscow seized the funds of Chubais and ex-managers of Rusnano for 11 billion

The Moscow Arbitration Court has seized the money and property of Anatoly Chubais, the former head of Rusnano, Yakov Urinson, the former Minister of Economy, and other ex-managers of the state corporation worth more than 11 billion rubles. The relevant document was posted on the court's website on December 22.

"To take measures to secure the claim of Rusnano Joint Stock Company in the form of seizure of the following defendants' funds: Sergey Vladimirovich Kalyuzhny, Oleg Vladimirovich Kiselyov, Andrey Alekseevich Kushnarev, Dmitry Nikolaevich Lisenkov, Andrey Borisovich Malyshev, Dmitry Alexandrovich Pimkin, German Rudolfovich Pikhoi, Boris Gennadyevich Podolsky, Andrey Vladislavovich Trapeznikov, Yuri Arkadyevich Udaltsov, Urinson Yakov Moiseevich, Avetisyan Vladimir Evgenievich, Chubais Anatoly Borisovich within the limits of the stated claims in the amount of 11.896 billion rubles 90 kopecks," the resolution says.

It is noted that the interim measures were taken in connection with the defendants' presence outside of Russia.

Earlier, on August 7, the Khamovnichesky Court of Moscow sentenced the defendants in the case of the Chubais mansion scam to up to seven years in prison. Ilya Suchkov, a businessman and former business partner of Chubais, was sentenced to seven years in a general regime, while Musa Sadayev, a member of the federal political council of the liquidated Parnas party, was sentenced to 4.5 years in a general regime.

On January 17, the head of the State Duma's defense committee, Andrei Kartapolov, and deputy Andrei Lugovoy appealed to the head of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia, Alexander Bastrykin, with a request to initiate a criminal investigation into Chubais' activities. This includes the period from September 22, 2008 to December 3, 2020, when Chubais was Chairman of the Board of Rusnano.
