In the Kursk region, a man was given a life sentence for the murder of a family

In the Kursk region, a court sentenced Dmitry Stenkin, who, intoxicated, entered a house in one of the villages, opened fire on the owners, killed a woman and tried to kidnap their underage daughters. This was announced by the second Western District Court on its website.

"The court found that in April 2025, Stenkin, intoxicated, carrying a machine gun with ammunition, entered a house in one of the villages of the Kursk region," the publication says.

It is specified that he fired several shots in the direction of the couple, as a result of which the man was seriously injured, and the woman was killed. Then, threatening the children with a machine gun, he forced them to get into a car, but was soon arrested. The court sentenced Stenkin to life imprisonment, assigning the first eight years of serving his sentence in prison, and the remaining term in a special regime colony.
