Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a telephone conversation with his American counterpart Donald Trump and discussed the situation around Ukraine with him. This was announced on December 23 in the press service of the Kazakh leader in the Telegram channel.

"The Presidents of Kazakhstan and the United States had a thorough exchange of views on the bilateral agenda and the current international situation, including the Ukrainian issue," the statement said.

The Kazakh leader said that his country is ready to become a platform for negotiations on resolving the conflict in Ukraine.
