In Moscow, more than 360 cultural venues — parks, museums, libraries, concert and exhibition halls — have prepared family events in honor of the New Year. They will be held from the end of December to the middle of January, said Deputy Mayor Natalia Sergunina.
"A rich program has been prepared for Muscovites and tourists, which includes interactive performances, concerts, master classes, quests, educational games and excursions. Some of them can be visited now," Sergunina said.
The Musical Theater in the Park project was launched in the Hermitage Garden, which combined theatrical performances, art installations and an interactive quest.
On December 27, the Delicious Frosts 2.0 gastrofestival will open in the Muzeon Art Park. Guests will be able to taste a variety of dishes (from original chebureks with cherries to pumpkin tea), participate in culinary master classes and listen to music.
Quests, games and creative activities are organized in the Moscow estate of Santa Claus and in its "branches" during the holidays.
New Year's Eve performances dedicated to animal symbols from different years have been prepared for visitors to the Moscow Zoo. There will also be guided tours during the holidays.: Guests will be able to see a pygmy hippopotamus, honeyeaters, giraffes, zebras and other inhabitants.
Chemistry and gardening classes, microscopy classes and an excursion will be held at one of the Biocluster sites, Pavilion No. 29 "Floriculture and Landscaping" at VDNH in January. For example, on January 3, experts will help guests to plant the first plant.
The museums have also prepared a festive program. "Conversations under the Christmas Tree" will take place in the museum-workshop of Zurab Tsereteli, and the play "The First New Year's Tale" will be shown in the State Museum of Defense of Moscow. The Zaryadye Concert Hall will host a multimedia concert, an evening of jazz and a prose reading accompanied by an orchestra.
In the first days of January, interactive performances for children will be presented in the city's libraries and workshops on creating New Year decorations and symbols of the coming year will be held.
