Krasnoyarsk residents were warned about 47-degree frosts

Severe frosts are predicted by forecasters in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. On Tuesday, December 23, in the central regions of the region, the air temperature will drop to -35 degrees. In the north, it may cool down to -47 degrees at night, and -40 degrees during the day.

There will be heavy snow in the mountains. Icy conditions will remain on the roads of the central and southern regions, writes KrasnoyarskMedia news agency.

Earlier, Alexander Shuvalov, head of the Meteo forecasting center, predicted "truly wintry" weather for the New Year. According to him, the first waves of cold weather will cover the capital and its region from Tuesday to Thursday— December 23-25. Snow may fall in this area on December 28 and 29.
