- The prosecutor requested three years of probation for ex-judge Trishkin, who shot the taxi driver.
The state prosecution asked to convict Albert Trishkin, a former judge of the Second Western District Military Court, who shot a taxi driver with a traumatic pistol in 2024, and impose a three-year suspended sentence on him. This was announced on December 23 by a correspondent of Izvestia from the hall of the Vidnovsky city court.
According to investigators, in August 2024, the ex-judge quarreled with a taxi driver who blocked his path and shot the driver in the leg with a Makarov traumatic pistol. According to Trishkin, he found the gun "behind the garages" two days before the incident and was going to hand it over to the police department, but did not have time.
Later, Trishkin's son, who testified in the case, reported that the weapon was found near the military court. It also turned out that the ex-judge was rude and threatened by a policeman who tried to get an explanation from him about the case. Commenting on this, Trishkin said that he did not take the call from the Interior Ministry officer seriously, deciding that a fraudster had called him.
In addition, the prosecutor requested partial satisfaction of the victim's claim and the recovery of 500 thousand rubles in his favor.
In July, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation received permission from the Higher Qualification Board of Judges to initiate a criminal case under paragraphs "d", "e", "h" of Part 2 of Article 112 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Intentional infliction of moderate harm to health from hooligan motives motivated by hatred of any social group using objects, used as a weapon"). The court chose Trishkin's recognizance not to leave and proper behavior.
A criminal case was opened against Trishkin on September 28. It was noted that he faces up to five years in prison. Prior to that, the head of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, Alexander Bastrykin, asked for permission to initiate a case, shortly after which Trishkin resigned.
