The Investigative Committee (IC) has opened a criminal case against the head of Krymsk, Krasnodar Territory, on suspicion of abuse of office. According to investigators, in March 2020, the Krymsk administration leased an agricultural land plot with an area of more than 31 hectares with a type of permitted use for the implementation of farm activities. Then changes were made to the general plan, and the type of permitted use became "individual housing construction." At the same time, the applicant, having applied to the administration for granting ownership of the land without bidding, indicated that the land was used for agricultural needs.
