Named a region in Russia with a payment of 1 million rubles for the first child

In the Novgorod region, families will receive a total of more than 1 million rubles at the birth of their first child. As reported on December 23 in the Ministry of Labor, Family and Social Policy of the region, according to the decision of the authorities, such a support measure will be effective from January 2026.

"The total amount of payments, taking into account the regional capital and the federal maternity capital, will amount to just over 1 million rubles, provided that the mother's age is up to 29 years old," RIA Novosti quoted the agency as saying.
