In the Kemerovo region, in the city of Taiga, more than 10 thousand consumers were left without electricity due to the shutdown of the substation. This was announced on December 23 by the governor of the region Ilya Seredyuk.

"I conducted an operational headquarters on the situation in the city of Taiga. At 04:56 (00:56 Moscow time) there was a shutdown of the electrical substation. The supply of electricity to 10,455 household and 64 socially significant consumers has stopped. Among them: two hospitals, nine schools, 11 kindergartens, 24 boiler houses, 18 water supply facilities," the governor wrote in his Telegram channel.
