The Valley may prohibit the expression "Valley scheme"
Singer Larisa Dolina may demand to ban the use of the expression "Valley scheme" if she considers that it damages her reputation. She also has the right to claim moral compensation from anyone who uses such language in a public field. Lawyer Gleb Podyablonsky told about this on Monday, December 22.
The expert clarified that, theoretically, the artist can apply to the court with a demand to ban the use of the phrase. But in this case, we are talking about an expression that has already become popular, so it will be difficult to find the defendant. If the Valley wants to defend its right, a lawsuit will be filed against each individual offender, and the amount of compensation will be determined individually.
"If at least once a court decides that in this case it is wrong [and damage has been caused], then it will be by analogy. Yes, our law is without precedent, but the courts still take into account the decision that already exists, so she can try. How successful it will be depends on her lawyers," Podiablonsky said in an interview with the "Paragraph".
According to the lawyer, if the Valley also wants to demand moral compensation, the amounts will be low: from 5,000 rubles.
Earlier that day, Valery Yefremov, Doctor of Philology, a leading researcher at the Russian Academy of Sciences, head of the Dictionaries of New Words group, admitted that the phrase "Valley scheme" could be included in the dictionaries of neologisms in 2025. 360.ru .
He added that the dictionaries may also include four statements related to the case of Dolina's apartment sale, according to the website. kp.ru .
On December 16, the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation recognized the ownership of the disputed apartment by Dolina to the buyer Polina Lurie. It was clarified that the court also decided to cancel all decisions of the lower courts in the case of the sale of the artist's apartment.
Later, on December 19, Dolina, after receiving a request for eviction from the apartment from her new owner, Lurie, reported fraud to the police. Lurie's lawyer Svetlana Sviridenko, in turn, said that the singer continues to stay in the Moscow apartment, which the Supreme Court of Russia recognized as the property of the buyer.
On December 21, the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation, in a text on the complaint of the buyer of the apartment, Lurie, said that Dolina's delusion at the time of the sale of the apartment was not a sufficient reason to cancel this transaction. The court noted that only significant misconceptions of the party are recognized as a defect in the transaction, in the absence of which a person, reasonably and objectively assessing the situation, would not have made the transaction at all.
