The ban on migrants working in taxis has been extended in the Astrakhan region.

Astrakhan Region Governor Igor Babushkin signed a decree extending the ban on foreign citizens working in taxis and public transport for 2026. The restriction applies to migrants who work under a patent. This became known from a publication on the website of the regional government.

The text of the decree also states that foreign citizens will also be prohibited from working in taxis with other "land passenger transport." In addition, employers are required to bring the number of foreign employees in line with current legislation.
