On the eve of the New Year holidays, on December 22, the Popular Front handed over equipment and equipment to the units of the Southern Military District – the 14th Division of the 58th Army and the Erzi battalion of the Terek Brigade of the Volunteer Corps. The military personnel were given vehicles and equipment necessary for effective work on the line of contact.
It is noted that the organizational support was provided by the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the North Caucasus Federal District (NCFD) Yuri Chaika and Senator of the Russian Federation from the Republic of Ingushetia Belan Khamchiev.
"We are transferring equipment to guys from different units who perform tasks in the zone of a special military operation. These are fighters from the Republic of Ingushetia and other regions of Russia," said Sergey Gorbunov, deputy head of the Executive Committee of the Popular Front.
The military received 29 vehicles, including 13 cars, 13 motorcycles, two ATVs and one buggy, 97 drone warning devices, 18 different electronic warfare (EW) systems, reconnaissance drones, thermal imaging sights, radio stations, winter boots and clothing, generators and heaters.
"The scale of the assistance is impressive, especially the UAZ trucks in excellent condition, with a set of winter tires, such vehicles help to carry out combat missions, help out at the most difficult and crucial moment. We use them to evacuate wounded soldiers, bring medicines, food, water, and transport the military to perform combat missions," said a soldier with the call sign Diesel.
On the same day, United Russia and the Veterans of Special Military and Counterterrorism Operations Foundation from Yekaterinburg handed over special equipment, including ATVs and drones, to the participants of their military operations in the Rostov region. The transferred equipment, including quadrocopters, additional batteries and ground stations, was ordered by the military for use in the Red Army and Pokrovsky directions. According to Vladimir Yakushev, Secretary of the General Council of United Russia, assistance is provided strictly according to requests from fighters, which increases its effectiveness.
