Ex-State Duma deputy Gazzaev may return to FC Dynamo
Former State Duma deputy Valery Gazzaev may return to the Moscow football club (FC) Dynamo as one of the leaders. This was announced on December 22 by journalist Ivan Karpov.
"But a comeback is possible not as a coach, but as one of the managers: CEO or chairman of the board of directors," Karpov wrote on his Telegram channel.
According to him, Gazzaev's candidacy is proposed by the club's advisory board. The journalist added that the entourage of Dynamo board member Sergei Stepashin did not confirm this information.
Gazzaev won the USSR Cup during his time at Dynamo, twice led the team as head coach, leading it to the bronze medal of the Russian championship in 1992. He later achieved his greatest success with CSKA, winning the national championship three times and winning the UEFA Cup in 2005, adds "Газета.Ru ".
Valery Karpin, the coach of the Russian national football team, announced his decision to leave the post of head coach of Dynamo Moscow on November 17, noting that it was balanced and deliberate. The specialist thanked the management, the players and all the staff of the club, and wished the team success in the current season. He added that he intends to focus on working for the national team, as the team's results are his only priority.
On the same day, Russian football player Rolan Gusev, who is part of the Dynamo coaching staff, was appointed acting head coach of the club.
