- The leader of the Liberal Democratic Party discussed housing and communal services with residents of apartment buildings in Khimki
On December 22, LDPR Chairman Leonid Slutsky held a meeting with residents of apartment buildings in Khimki, where he was told about problems with house repairs and the quality of housing and communal services. The meeting with the residents took place on December 22.
Residents reported regular interruptions in the heating supply and flooded entrances caused by faulty old pipes. According to them, the constant dampness also led to the appearance of unpleasant odors and rats.
"There is no heating from the word at all, it is paired. Our basement is constantly knee-deep in water. The pipes are bursting there," one of the residents of the 1960—built house complained to Slutsky.
The LDPR chairman called the terrible condition of pipes and basements, and also criticized the work of public utilities, calling pumping water from basements the day before his arrival a "show-off." He called on the regional authorities to strengthen feedback from residents.
"Let me appeal to every governor on New Year's Eve — in general, not only on New Year's Eve, but now, on New Year's Eve — to arrange a hotline for the governor personally, and not just the deputy for housing and communal services and so on," Slutsky stressed.
Following the meeting, the LDPR will send parliamentary inquiries and seek to eliminate the violations identified.
Earlier, on December 8, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that changes in the housing and communal services sector are not yet very noticeable in people's lives. The President asked the government and the regions to accelerate the development of a comprehensive program for the development of stronghold settlements.
