Residents of the north-east of Moscow have prepared New Year's gifts for soldiers of the SVO and children in Zaporozhye

Volunteers in the northeast of Moscow collected New Year's gifts for soldiers of a special military operation and children from an orphanage in the Zaporozhye region. The action was held within the framework of the "Winter in Moscow" project, the press service of the Prefecture of the Northern Administrative District reported.

Clothes, shoes, stationery, and books will be delivered to the orphanage in the village of Mirnoye. "There are 40 children in the center for socio-psychological rehabilitation. For the volunteers of the Heart of Marfino group this institution is sponsored. We are constantly sending humanitarian aid to children to provide them with everything they need," said Zinaida Avdoshkina, head of the Marfino municipal District.

In addition, humanitarian supplies will be sent to the soldiers of the Wolfpack battalion. The volunteers wove more than 40 camouflage and 18 anti-electronic nets for the fighters and made 600 trench candles. The soldiers will also receive letters from Moscow schoolchildren.
The volunteer group "Heart of Marfino" was created in October 2023 after the death of Alexei Zapletnyuk, a resident of the district, a teacher of the cadet class at school No. 1494. The school has organized a memory corner. The parents of the students offered to help the fighters of the Wolf Pack battalion, in which Zapletnyuk served.

There are 85 people in the volunteer group today. Active residents have manufactured and sent to their area about 500 camouflage nets, more than 7 thousand trench candles, neural nets-curtains, camouflage robes.

The Winter in Moscow project provides for holding various cultural, sports and patriotic events in order to strengthen social ties and maintain an atmosphere of unity. Special attention is paid to the support of participants and veterans of the special military operation and their families, as well as all those who provide assistance to the front.
