The word "pensioner" is considered a red marker when buying real estate. Andrey Bannikov, Vice President of the Russian Guild of Realtors, told about this on December 22.

"There has always been fear, but now it's just a red marker. If an elderly, retired, or just pre—retirement owner sells his apartment without simultaneously acquiring any alternative living space, and God forbid this apartment is still his only home, then most likely such an apartment cannot be sold on the market now," TASS quoted him as saying.
