Pensioners will be able to use a digital ID in Max
Pensioners and citizens with disabilities will be able to use digital IDs via the MAX messenger as a full-fledged replacement for paper documents. This was announced on December 22 by the press service of the Ministry of Labor of the Russian Federation.
"The certificate may be needed in different situations: from receiving discounts at retail outlets and free museum visits to confirming the right to preferential travel on public transport," the agency's website says.
The digital identity is formed on the basis of a secure electronic document, a Digital ID, which is created by the user in the MAX application. To receive it, you need a verified account on the Gosuslug portal and the consent of the Social Fund of Russia for data processing.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on December 18 that the MAX messenger is convenient for young people and they use it. On December 17, the messenger's press service announced that the number of registered MAX users had reached 75 million people.
