Central University to open Bachelor's degree in Design School

Central University is launching a Bachelor's degree program at the School of Design to train specialists in design, technology, and business.

According to the university, the training lasts four years. The educational program is aimed, in particular, at developing students' leadership skills, product and critical thinking. They will also master technological competencies and gain knowledge in the field of management.

Special attention will be paid to the development of soft skills, thanks to which graduates will be able to be adaptive to different work situations, work effectively in a team and interact with specialists from other professions.

The Bachelor's degree from the School of Design includes areas such as communication and graphic design, as well as product and industrial design.

The specialty is not chosen immediately, but according to the results of the first year of study, which is conducted according to a single program: students will learn the basics of design and get acquainted with all areas.

"In the second year, students choose the main field of study (majors) and additional disciplines (minors), which they begin to master along an individual learning trajectory. This relieves stress when choosing a university and specialty at the start, helps to avoid mistakes and allows you to consciously decide on a profession and career path," the university noted.

Graduates will receive a state-issued diploma in the specialty 03/54.01 "Design".

According to Mila Silenina, the academic leader of the undergraduate School of Design, "the program allows you to take into account not only the student's abilities, but also his character, temperament, method of obtaining information and personal interests." "We have also created a strong research platform where students will try different tools and approaches, experiment, and work with the contexts of the world around them. To do this, we have included in the program a large number of different tasks from real business practice, so that each student can understand what kind of designer he wants to become," she stressed.
