At least 15 people have died in a bus accident in Indonesia.

At least 15 people were killed and 19 injured in a bus accident that occurred on a section of the Transjawan toll road near the port city of Semarang in Indonesia. This was reported by the newspaper Kompas.

"15 people were killed, and 19 others were injured in the accident. <...> The victims were urgently taken to hospitals," according to a report posted on the publication's YouTube channel.

It is clarified that the names of some of the victims have already been identified. Police officers, representatives of the Ministry of Health and emergency services arrived at the scene.

According to preliminary data, the bus traveling on the Jakarta — Yogyakarta route was traveling at high speed, as a result of which the vehicle collided with a road fence, which led to its overturning.

The newspaper El Tiempo reported on December 14 that 16 people were killed in an accident involving a school bus in Colombia. According to the newspaper, the driver of a vehicle carrying from 35 to 45 schoolchildren lost control, which caused his bus to fly off a cliff. The accident occurred in the department of Antioquia on the road leading to the municipality of Segovia.
