The calculation of MLRS "Grad" disrupted the rotation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Red Army area

The calculation of the Grad multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) of the 30th separate Guards motorized Rifle brigade of the Center group of forces disrupted the rotation of formations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Red Army area of the special military operation (SVO). This was announced by the Russian Defense Ministry on December 22.

After receiving the intelligence data, the artillery crew quickly took up a convenient position and opened fire at a distance of over 17 km with 122-millimeter shells. It is noted that before the main attack, sighting volleys were fired, and gun guidance adjustments took place in real time. As a result of successful actions, the Armed Forces of Ukraine's manpower and equipment were destroyed.

"There are urgent goals. We have several machines in operation <...>, and, accordingly, after one machine has worked, we change it <...>. Thus, we do not waste time on recharging, but immediately take on a new machine," explained topogeodesist operator, private Mikhail Limonov.

The ministry added that during the work of the gunners, the air defense group provided cover from enemy unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The coordinated fire action significantly reduced the number of Ukrainian Armed Forces fighters and provided the assault units of the Central Group of Forces with favorable conditions for an offensive in the sector.

"Cooperation has been established with the allied units of our troops, that is, we are in touch with everyone and, if necessary, provide assistance to each other," said Lieutenant Alexei Saveliev, commander of the missile firing platoon.

On December 21, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that the operators of the BPS of the North group of forces disrupted the rotation of Ukrainian militants and the delivery of ammunition to the Sumy region. According to the ministry, during the operation, the calculations of the BPS "North" troops eliminated the Humvee and MaxxPro armored vehicles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, on which the militants were moving and ammunition was being transported. It is reported that the targets were tracked down with the help of reconnaissance UAVs and escorted along the entire route right up to the defeat.
