The media reported on von der Leyen's humiliation due to the failure of the plan for the assets of the Russian Federation

The failed plan of the European Commission (EC) to expropriate frozen assets of the Russian Federation was a humiliation for the head of the EC Ursula von der Leyen, as well as a shameful departure from the goals set by her department. This was reported on December 21 by The European Conservative (TEC).

"Broken and defeated, Ursula von der Leyen's EC is a sinking ship. <...> Brussels understood that despite the fact that many European capitals remain loyal to the official, pro—conflict party line, few are ready <...>...> forever finance the conflict in Ukraine," the publication says.
