The Russian and Belarusian pilots went to the Tunisian airport in order to fly from there to Turkey on the next flight. This was announced on December 21 at the Russian Embassy in the North African country.

"The Tunisian authorities have made every effort to facilitate the departure of the helicopter crew from Tunisia," the agency said in an interview with TASS.
