- Japarov called the common energy markets an impetus for the growth of trade in the EAEU
The launch of common energy markets in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) will give an impetus to the growth of trade turnover in the organization. This was announced on December 21 by Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov.
"We expect that the launch of the Union's common energy markets will give an impetus to the growth of domestic trade, strengthen competition and open up new business opportunities," he said at an expanded meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council.
He stressed that the creation of common energy markets represents a serious stage shaping the architecture of the future energy security of the entire association. The main result, in his opinion, is the reliable provision of energy resources to the Member States and an increase in their energy security.
Earlier in the day, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that participation in the work of the EAEU brings significant dividends, including economic ones. He also added that the effect of this cooperation is positive, but noted that each state should carefully analyze all aspects related to national work within the union.
