In Russia, banks have started asking customers to transfer a large amount of money related to the person to whom the transfer is planned, in order to combat fraud. This was reported on December 21 by the RIA Novosti news agency.

If you want to transfer a large amount of money, the operation is blocked, and later a bank employee contacts the client and asks a number of questions, including the full details of the person and the requirement to confirm their relationship with the bank's client.
