The Kremlin confirmed the expectation of Aliyev's visit to the CIS summit

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on December 20 that Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev was expected at an informal summit of leaders of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) in St. Petersburg.

He noted in an interview with RIA Novosti that Moscow is waiting for Aliyev and is preparing for the meeting.

The meeting will be held on December 21-22.
