Bloomberg has learned about the owner of the oil on the tanker detained by the United States from Venezuela

The tanker, detained by American military personnel off the coast of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, was carrying oil belonging to a Chinese company. This was reported by Bloomberg on December 20, citing sources.

"The Centuries supertanker, which had up to 2 million barrels of Venezuelan oil, was sailing under the Panamanian flag. The ownership of the oil belongs to a Chinese company," the publication says.

According to the publication, this tanker has never appeared on the American sanctions lists.
