Anatoly Lobotsky is a Soviet and Russian actor of theater and cinema. People's Artist of the Russian Federation. He is known for his roles in the theater of the Vladimir Mayakovsky Moscow Academic Theater, where he served for more than 40 years, as well as for his participation in television projects, including the series "Molodezhka" and "Bring back My Love", the films "Audience", "Kalashnikov", "Hockey Daddies". On December 20, 2025, his life tragically ended.: The actor died after a hard battle with lung cancer.
Family and childhood
Anatoly Anatolyevich Lobotsky was born on January 14, 1959 in Tambov. His father Anatoly Lobotsky was a journalist, and his mother was a librarian.
In 1979, the artist graduated from the directing department of the Tambov branch of the Moscow State Institute of Culture, and later, in 1985, from the Lunacharsky State Institute of Theatrical Art (GITIS). During his studies, Lobotsky was a student of People's Artist of the USSR Andrei Goncharov and a classmate of Soviet and Russian theater and film actress Olga Prokofieva.
After graduating from the institute, the artist was accepted into the troupe of the Vladimir Mayakovsky Moscow Academic Theater, where he served for more than 40 years, until the very end of his life. He performed many roles in the theater, including Konstantin in "The Children of Vanyushin", Vadim Dulchin in "The Sacrifice of the Century", Ivan the foundling in "Ivan Tsarevich", Don Juan in "The Amusements of Don Juan" and many others.
Career in television and film
Lobotsky began his career on television later, in 2000. Then he starred with director Vladimir Menshov in the melodramatic feature film "Envy of the Gods", in which he played the main role. For her, the actor received the award for best actor at the IX All-Russian Film Festival "Vivat, cinema of Russia!" in St. Petersburg. It was this film that made the artist widely known and since then he has been actively acting in films and television series.
Personal life
Lobotsky's first wife was Nadezhda Smirnova. In this marriage, the couple had a son, Stanislav Lobotsky.
His second wife was Natalia, and the couple had a daughter, Anna Lobotskaya, who later also became an actress and graduated from the Boris Shchukin Theater Institute.
Lobotsky later remarried, with model and TV presenter Olga Ibragimova becoming his new wife. She gave birth to the actor's son Gregory. The last wife of the actor was the actress Julia Rutberg.
