British heavyweight boxer Anthony Joshua challenged former multiple world champion Tyson Fury immediately after defeating American boxer and blogger Jake Paul. This was reported by The Guardian newspaper on December 20.

"If Tyson Fury is as serious as he thinks he is, <...> you need to put on gloves and go out to fight one of the most genuine fighters in the world who will accept any challenge, then next time let him enter the ring with me if he is a really bad guy," the publication quotes Joshua as saying..

Commenting on his fight with Paul, Joshua noted that it was not his best performance, but he managed to catch the American on a mistake, even though it took time.

"It wasn't the best performance. The ultimate goal was to catch Jake Paul, pin him down, and hurt him. That's exactly what I had in mind. It took a little longer than expected, but the right hand finally found the recipient," the boxer said.

At the same time, he paid tribute to Paul, noting his resilience and stating that he "got up time after time" after a series of knockdowns.

Earlier that day, Joshua defeated blogger and boxer Jake Paul in the main fight of the evening of fights, which took place at the Kaseya Center sports complex in Miami. The boxer knocked out his opponent in the sixth round. The referee stopped the fight after Paul was knocked down.
