Russia condemns the approach of NATO countries, which boast of carrying out computer attacks. This was announced on December 20 by Artur Lukmanov, Director of the Department of International Information Security of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

"The fact is that many NATO member states and their satellites openly declare that they use information and communication technologies to harm their opponents. And some even flaunt the fact that they carry out computer attacks," he said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

According to him, the Russian side condemns such actions. Liukmanov noted that such a line of the bloc can not only damage relations between states and undermine trust, but also lead to conflicts and crisis situations.

He added that the Russian ministry is working to prevent such situations and restore normal dialogue between governments and competent authorities.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on October 29 that Western countries are allowing themselves hybrid aggression in the form of an information war against all those who advocate the truth. As Zakharova pointed out, the European Union (EU) is thus trying to "hold on to the fleeing hegemony."
