The United States has imposed sanctions on seven members of Maduro's family and associates.

The U.S. Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) has imposed sanctions on family members and associates of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro. This was reported on December 19 on the website of the press service of the US Treasury Department (USDT).

"Today, the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) of the US Treasury Department imposed sanctions against several family members and associates of the Maduro family," the publication says.

It is specified that all property and property interests of sanctioned persons in the United States will be blocked. In addition, all organizations of the Maduro family and associates that "directly or indirectly, individually or collectively, 50% or more belong to one or more persons" will be sanctioned.
