Sokolniki station on the Bolshoy Koltsevaya Line of the Moscow Metro will become a marriage registration site for the first time in 2026. This was announced on Friday, December 19, by the press service of the metropolitan Department of Transport.

Maxim Liksutov, Deputy Mayor of the capital for Transport and Industry, said that the capital's transport has been participating in the New Addresses of Happiness project since 2021, and interest in such ceremonies is constantly growing. According to him, the project will continue to be developed in 2026, and the Sokolniki BCL station will become one of the new sites, Moscow 24 writes.

Also next year, official registrations will be held at the Mayakovskaya metro station at night and at the Northern River Station during the warm season. Anastasia Rakova, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Social Development, clarified that applications for 2026 have already been opened, and more than 250 slots will be available for couples in total, the Moscow City News agency reports.
