The Ministry of Finance has set new minimum prices for vodka and spirits
Starting from January 1, 2026, the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation will raise the minimum retail prices for vodka and spirits. The relevant information follows from a document published on December 19 on the official Internet portal of legal information.
According to the decree, the minimum price for a half-liter bottle of vodka with a strength of 37 to 40% will be 337 rubles. As the fortress grows, the minimum cost will also increase: for vodka with a fortress of 40% and above, the price starts from 337 rubles and reaches 483 rubles for products with a fortress over 61%.
The new prices will also apply to alcoholic beverages, brandy, cognac and whiskey. So, the minimum cost for brandy and similar drinks, except for aged cognac and whiskey, is set at 605 rubles, and for cognac and whiskey aged from three years — 755 rubles per 0.5 liters.
The order also regulates minimum prices for purchases and supplies between manufacturers and wholesalers. The new values will be valid until December 31, 2031, replacing the previous order from December 2024.
On the same day, on December 19, the Federation Council approved a law banning the sale of tobacco products and vapes at public transport stops. According to the law, a ban is imposed on the sale of cigarettes, vapes, nicotine consumption devices, as well as hookahs at bus stops of all types of urban and suburban transport.
