The court sentenced the organizer of the assassination attempt on Solovyov to life in prison.

The Second Western District Military Court found guilty the defendants in the case of preparing an assassination attempt on journalist Vladimir Solovyov. This was reported on December 19 by a correspondent of Izvestia from the courtroom.

The court sentenced the defendants to imprisonment for terms from 13 years to life. Andrei Pronsky, recognized by the court as the organizer, was sentenced to life imprisonment to be served in a special regime colony. The other members of the group received long sentences.

It was established that in 2021 Pronsky created a cell of the NS/WP terrorist group banned in the Russian Federation (the organization is recognized as terrorist and banned in the Russian Federation), whose members purchased weapons, explosives and committed arson. No later than April 2022, according to investigators, representatives of the Ukrainian intelligence service offered them to kill Solovyov for a reward via the Internet.

The participants in the conspiracy gathered information about the journalist and planned to blow up his car. Their activities were suppressed by FSB officers.
