Russian President Vladimir Putin has warned of the continuing threat of fraud and the need for careful handling of financial matters. He said this on December 19 during the "Results of the Year", which are summed up in a direct line format combined with a press conference.

"The fraud has not gone away. Fraudsters will continue to improve their tools and make efforts to extort money," Putin said.

He gave the citizens specific recommendations.: As soon as someone starts talking about money or property, you should immediately hang up the phone and not engage in discussion. The Russian President stressed that one should not discuss a word with outsiders about money and property.

Putin noted that such issues should be resolved directly with people whom citizens personally know, including banks and other organizations. He added that this approach is the safest way to protect yourself from financial intruders.
