One person died in a fire in a village near Pskov.

The fire occurred in a private house in the village of Dubrovka, Dedovichi district, Pskov region. A man died.

As told to the Pskov news feed in the press service of the SU TFR in the region, the cause of the fire could be careless handling of an open fire source. No other details are provided.

Medical and fire-technical forensic examinations have been appointed, the circumstances of the incident are being established. A procedural decision will be made based on the results of the audit.

Earlier, on December 16, it was reported that a woman and two children died as a result of a fire in the Kichmeng Town of the Vologda region. The causes of the fire are being clarified. According to the press service of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in the region, two residents of one apartment evacuated before the arrival of firefighters, and a man with his three-year-old son ran out of the neighboring apartment. At the same time, his 28-year-old roommate and two children could presumably stay in the house.
