Sobyanin awarded two new sites the status of a technopark

Two industrial sites in Moscow, Medtechmoskva and Dom Legprom, have received the status of technoparks. This was announced by the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, in his channel in the IACH.

About 40 resident companies operate on the territory of the Medtech Moscow Technopark in Troparevo-Nikulino. According to Sobyanin, the main focus of the site's work is the creation of biomedical technologies and the integration of innovative solutions into the healthcare system of the capital. To implement scientific achievements in clinical practice, the technopark is building a research infrastructure: a biobank, the Omix Technologies collective use center, production sites for cellular technology components and the contract production of PCR test systems operate here.

Among the residents of the site is Mailaboratory, which is exploring new approaches to diagnostics, immunotherapy, transplantation, and vaccine development. Another resident, Genlab, develops bioinformatics platforms for the diagnosis of monogenic, autoimmune, and oncological diseases.

The House of Light Industry Technopark in the Donskoy district specializes in research and development, as well as the introduction of advanced technologies in the light industry. In the future, it is planned to launch a pilot industrial site for technology testing and production of pilot batches. A Scientific cluster of light Industry will be created at the technopark site — a platform for joint research of enterprises and the formation of a modern scientific and production base.

Currently, 51 technoparks have been established in Moscow, employing more than 76,000 people. In 2024, Moscow's technoparks invested more than 80 billion in the city's infrastructure, Sobyanin said earlier. The main areas of development include the renovation of engineering systems and the construction of production facilities and laboratories.
