The second Volga model was certified in Russia
The second model of the revived Volga brand has been certified in Russia and has received Vehicle Type Approval, which allows it to begin mass sales. This was announced on December 19 by the Avtotok Telegram channel.
The documents are issued for the Volga C50 model, which, according to the channel, is a clone of the Geely Preface. The sedan is certified with a two-liter gasoline engine in two boost versions (150 and 200 hp), which is combined with a 7-speed robotic transmission. Front-wheel drive only.
Currently, the Geely Preface is sold in Russia in two trim levels at a price of 3.36 million and 3.57 million rubles, respectively (excluding discounts). The length of the car is 4825 mm, the wheelbase is 2800 mm. The model is offered only with a 200-horsepower two-liter turbo engine.
Prior to that, on December 17, it was reported that the Volga K50, which is a redesigned Geely Monjaro crossover, became the first model of the revived Volga brand to receive an OTC. The United Engineering Center is listed as the applicant for registration of the OTS, and the Nizhny Novgorod Passenger Cars company is listed as the manufacturer of the car.
