Average prices for new cars in Russia in the first half of 2026 will increase by about 10%. This was announced on December 19 by Sergey Tselikov, director of the Autostat analytical agency. According to the expert, the growth will occur not simultaneously, but as the price lists of specific models are adjusted.

In turn, according to estimates by Alexander Shaprinsky, commercial director of the Pragmatika dealership network, domestic cars may increase in price by 5-10%, imported cars of Chinese brands will rise in value to 15-20%, and those supplied through alternative import channels may jump in price by up to 50%.

According to estimates by the association of Russian Automobile Dealers (ROAD), new cars may rise in price by an average of 10-15% in 2026. Ilya Petrov, Director of Retail Sales at Avilon AG, believes that in January next year, prices for officially imported cars may increase by about 6-10%.

At the same time, Nikolai Ivanov, director of the new car sales department at Rolf, believes that among the brands whose cars are assembled in Russia, the price increase will be very careful and gradual.

The head of AVTOVAZ, Maxim Sokolov, announced on December 16 that prices for Lada models in 2025 decreased by 5%, despite inflation. According to him, the reason for the decrease in cost was "aggressive dumping" by Chinese brands that gave significant discounts on their models.
