Carlson pointed to the West's blame for the strained relations with Russia.
Western countries were the first to reject Russian President Vladimir Putin's proposal for cooperation in 2001, thereby managing to turn him against themselves. This was stated on December 18 by journalist Tucker Carlson on the air of Andrew Napolitano's YouTube channel.
"The truth is that Putin is the most moderate leader in Russia, that is, he is the most pro—Western leader in Russia. <...> He is a very capable politician. In 2001, he himself asked to admit Russia to NATO, but we did not agree. Why? Why do we want to fight her?" said Carlson.
