A high-voltage power line was damaged as a result of an attack by UAVs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the Rostov region

An attack by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) was repelled last night The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in Rostov, Taganrog, Kuibyshevsky, Matveevo-Kurgan, Rodionovo-Nesvetaisky districts of the Rostov region. This was announced on the morning of December 19 by the governor of the region, Yuri Slyusar.

"The cities and districts of the Rostov region were again attacked by the enemy last night. <...> Civilian facilities were damaged in several settlements. In Rostov, due to the breakage of a high-voltage transmission line. Residential buildings in Bolgarstroy and industrial consumers in the Western Industrial Zone have been disconnected from the power supply," he said in a message on his Telegram channel.

Slyusar also stated that in Rostov, one of the outbuildings located on Sholokhov Avenue caught fire. The flame was extinguished on an area of 10 sq. m.

The report clarifies that as a result of the disruption of the transmission line, there was also a violation in the energy supply to the farm of Nedvigovka in the Myasnikovsky district and the village of Zaimo-Obryv in the Azov district.

The head of the region added that in Taganrog, as a result of the incident, glazing and roofing in five private houses were damaged. In addition, three cars caught fire there.

On the same day, the governor of the Lipetsk region, Igor Artamonov, reported damage to an apartment building in Lipetsk as a result of falling drone debris. The head of the region said that there were no casualties as a result of the incident, and also added that emergency services specialists were working at the crash site.
