The municipal infrastructure facility was damaged as a result of an attack by Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) on Orel. This was announced on December 19 by the Governor of the Orel region Andrey Klychkov.

"As a result of the enemy attack, the municipal infrastructure of the city of Orel was damaged. According to preliminary information, there are no casualties," he said in a message on his Telegram channel.

According to Klychkov, specialists have begun repair work, as a result of which there may be brief restrictions on power and heat supply, as well as hot water in the Sovetsky district of the city.

The governor of the Belgorod Region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, announced on the same day that Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles had attacked the region, as a result of which a five-month-old child was injured in Belgorod. Doctors at the children's regional hospital diagnosed the victim with a mine explosion injury, a closed craniocerebral injury and a bruised head wound.
