The motorcyclist who killed actress Zemlyanikina received 2.5 years in prison.

Motorcyclist Sergei Generalov, who in May of this year killed actress and singer Elena Zemlyanikina, the daughter of Soviet actress Lyubov Strizhenova and the older sister of actor and producer Alexander Strizhenov, was sentenced to 2.5 years in a penal colony. This was reported by RIA Novosti on December 18.

"The court found Generalov Sergey Alexandrovich guilty of violating traffic rules and operating vehicles, which negligently caused the death of a person (Part 3 of Article 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation)," the publication says.
