- Lukashenko warned Ukraine about the consequences for the destruction of UAVs over Belarus
On December 18, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko banned Ukraine from shooting down unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) over his country's territory and warned of the consequences in case of violations.
"They warned us that they would shoot down drones on our territory. I asked you to convey that this will have far—reaching consequences," he said, answering questions from delegates of the VII All-Belarusian National Assembly.
In addition, the Belarusian leader added that Ukrainian drones had flown into the territory of the state through Poland, Lithuania and Latvia.
On December 1, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus protested to Lithuania in connection with the violation of airspace by a Lithuanian unmanned aerial vehicle. The Ministry regarded the border violation as a provocation by Vilnius, directed against Minsk and Warsaw. On the same day, the Interior Ministry of Belarus reported the presence of extremist materials in the drone that crashed in Grodno.
