President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has admitted that the position of individual countries, including the United States, on Ukraine's membership in NATO may change over time. He stated this at a briefing on December 18.

"Perhaps [the United States'] position will change in the future. <...> Politicians are changing," he quotes the Telegram channel of the online publication Strana as saying.
