- A resident of Izhevsk was accused of treason after shooting a high-security enterprise
A resident of Izhevsk photographed and videotaped the protection systems of the territory of one of the city's high-security enterprises, as well as its security posts and checkpoints, after which he transmitted the information to the Ukrainian side. This was announced on December 18 by the press service of the Federal Security Service of Russia for the Udmurt Republic.
"It was established that, in addition to the alleged criminal acts, the detainee, acting on the instructions of a foreign curator, photographed and videotaped the protection systems of one of the city's high-security enterprises, as well as its security posts and checkpoints, which he subsequently handed over to the Ukrainian side," TASS reports.
According to the agency, the Arne man was detained and placed in custody for establishing contact with a representative of a Ukrainian organization recognized as terrorist in Russia. He intended to defect to the enemy to participate in combat operations against the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. The investigative department of the FSB opened a criminal case under Article 275 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("High treason").
Earlier in the day, it was reported that a Sochi resident was sentenced to 13 years in prison in a high-security penal colony for cooperating with the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) in the exploration of the Black Sea coastal territories. During the court session, the man fully admitted his guilt and repented of the crime.
