In 2025, more than 11.5 thousand plants were planted in Vladivostok. For landscaping, experts mainly chose Far Eastern species.
According to the PrimaMedia news agency, a total of 8 thousand shrubs, about 1.1 thousand trees, as well as 2.5 thousand perennial plants were planted. The streets of Vladivostok were decorated with apple trees, pears, lilacs, maples.
In selecting plants, the staff of the municipal institution "Green Vladivostok" took into account various factors, including climate, soil moisture, proximity to the road and the availability of networks. The emphasis is on flowering and coniferous species. Of the plants from other regions, the choice fell on those that have proven themselves well in landscaping in Primorye. These are horse chestnut, peach, prickly spruce and other trees and shrubs.
Specialists actively created flower beds in a natural style with a predominance of meadow grasses and bright perennial flowers. Residents of Vladivostok helped with the landscaping.
In 2026, tulips will bloom in the streets of the seaside capital in spring. Before the cold weather, the specialists of "Green Vladivostok" planted 41 thousand bulbs.
