On December 18, specialists from the tank battalion of the 4th Brigade of the Southern Group of Forces told Izvestia about the use of a ground-based robotics complex (NRTC) in the Konstantinovsky area in the area of a special military operation.

"He (the NRTC "Impulse". — Ed.) can carry [heavy-duty automatic grenade launcher] AGS, we can stop the machine gun on it. Here we have an Omich carrying 300-350 kg: provisions, evacuation of the wounded," said the platoon commander of the tank battalion of the fourth brigade of the Southern Group of Forces with the call sign Lim.

According to him, this technique is used in frontline positions where infantry is stationed. The soldier noted that the delivery of food to the military is risky, so the work is carried out by the NRTC: such complexes transport 70-80 kg at a time.

Lim stressed that robots never move along the same path due to the constant mining of routes. The NRTC has been repeatedly attacked by enemy drones, but most of the robotics complexes can withstand this.

"This robotic trolley has two control protocols at once: a standard radio transmitter and a technology that has been used in the Russian military relatively recently – a fiber-optic coil. Its main advantage is that the signal cannot be silenced by any electronic warfare system, and this significantly increases the chances of reaching the destination and then returning back," said Izvestia correspondent Egor Kildibekov.

An NRTC operator with the call sign Viking noted that tracked robots can move through mud like a tank, while wheeled NRTKS get stuck. According to him, movement now occurs mainly in open areas where people are vulnerable to drones. The operator shared that when evacuating the wounded with the help of a robot, in any case, he has feelings.

"When you deliver it, of course, it makes you feel better that you took your friend out, that everything is fine with him. The main thing is that he is alive," concluded the military.

On December 5, Izvestia showed the operation of BM-21 Grad multiple launch rocket systems from the 9th Brigade of the 51st Army of the Center Group of Forces. They carry out regular area strikes against the Ukrainian group in the city of Dimitrov in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR).

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
