Participants of the "Draw a Victory Tree" contest were awarded at the Victory Museum

On December 18, the Victory Museum hosted an award ceremony for the winners of the international drawing contest "Draw a Victory Tree." The footage of the event is published by Izvestia.

"This is the new year, which is decorated with a festive Christmas tree with your handmade toys. Therefore, the Victory Tree is a special symbol for us. A symbol of dedication," the presenter shared.

According to the organizers of the event, more than 57 thousand participants took part in the project. The contestants were thanked for their hard work. The winners received commemorative prizes and statuettes. The authors of the drawings were residents of the regions of Russia, as well as a number of other countries.

"Together we have put together a unique exhibition for you, which will tell you about the festive traditions of 1941-1945: preparing for the holiday, decorating houses and creating Christmas tree toys during the difficult war years, and will show the amazing work of our young talents," said the moderator of the event.

The exhibition presents various handicrafts made of wood, paper and cardboard, as well as themed postcards and drawings depicting the Kremlin and a star.

On December 17, a ten-meter spruce was decorated at the Victory Museum as part of the Victory Tree project. This year, a festive tree has been installed in the Hall of Generals. The fir tree was decorated with toys in white, blue and red tones, as well as garlands and shiny bows. The top of the tree is decorated with a traditional red star.

On December 2, the Victory Museum presented a virtual exhibition of New Year's cards on its website. The authors of the drawings were residents of all regions of Russia, the Republics of Moldova, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, as well as Kyrgyzstan, Malaysia, Finland, Norway, Serbia, Israel, Jordan, Cyprus, Switzerland and other countries. At the same time, the first drawing for the competition was uploaded 26 minutes after the opening of the acceptance of works.
