The principal of a school in the village of Gorki-2 in Odintsovo city district, where a fatal stabbing occurred, said she was not responsible for what happened. This was reported to Izvestia on December 18 by the mother of one of the students, a local resident, Nadezhda.

"The director stated that she bears no responsibility, and threw the arrows at the PSC (Private security company — Ed.). She did not apologize to her parents or to anyone. The situation at school is not changing. They'll just put in a third guard, and that's it," she said.

The woman clarified that the security cameras were not working at the school, which, according to her, the principal also ignored.

A teenager was attacked with a knife at a school in Odintsovo city district on December 16. One student was killed in the incident. According to the Izvestia source, there were no metal detectors in the educational institution. Upon learning of the incident, the teachers conducted an urgent evacuation.

Later it became known about the arrest of the attacker. The injured were taken to the L.M. Roshal Children's Scientific and Clinical Center. A criminal case was opened into the incident. During the interrogation, the attacker had previously admitted his guilt in the crime. On December 18, the court arrested him for two months.

Andrey Vorobyov, the governor of the Moscow Region, called for an analysis of everything that led to the tragedy at the Odintsovo school. According to him, it is necessary to make sure that what happened does not happen again.
